Hanging out with Mrs. Tiffany and Brooke at the radio station!!

Good morning everyone!

Our adventurers continue to explore the world of options! Thanks to Mrs. Tiffany and Brooke, KAJN (102.9) as they graced some of our adventurers with a tour of the radio station. After the tour, the adventurers sat with Mrs. Tiffany for their first radio interview! It was an amazing experience as they were able to share the adventures experienced and what's coming up in SOCKAC.

Tune in to KAJN (102.9) on Thursday, April 4th at 10pm to listen to a conversation with Mrs. Tiffany and three of our adventurers!

Meet the adventurers!

Zaleria Calvin, an 8th grade student who attends Bayou Chicot Elementary, talked about her experiences exploring our stage plays. Zaleria shared key principles learned from participating in our stage plays such as commitment, time management, team work, loyalty, and more. Stage performances are not just about memorizing lines. Zaleria has participated in three performances.

Ethan Zang, a 6th grade student who attends Evangeline Reimagine Academy, talked about exploring the world of music. Ethan currently plays several musical instruments and is excited to learn more. Ethan who is a French native is enjoying exploring all of the wonderful options we offer! We have partnered with The Producer's Academy under leadership of Marcus Dugas and will be offering options of exploring the world of music beginning in May. Stay tuned for more information.

Nylah "Lex" Guillory is a 7th grade student who attends James Stephens Montessori. Lex is a youth entrepreneur! Her business--Wrist Candy by Ny provides jewelry options to customers. As an young entrepreneur Lex is interested in exploring more about our upcoming culinary class. This class will provide a trifold endeavor as the adventurers with explore food safety and food production/entrepreneurship/ community services. Stay tuned for more information.

The adventurers had a blast! Again, we cannot say "Thank you" enough times to the team at KAJN for this amazing opportunity affording our adventurers explore the world of radio!

Now, if you have been following us you know that our adventurers can "pack down some groceries!" So, of course they "convinced" me that they were at the "stage of starvation" and "needed" to eat at Chili's. Just one more adventure for the day was the case presented! Have mercy! Since Zaleria's goal is to become a defense attorney, she led this argument! She won the case! Zaleria and her team enjoyed the outcome!

I am having so much fun with my "adventurers!"

Be blessed. Checkout out website (sockac.com) and reach out with any questions.

Linda (Gram)

Don't forget!
